While in Champaign County, be sure to visit one of our many attractions, whether it’s the beautiful gardens at the University of Illinois Arboretum or getting a taste of Champaign County history at the Cattle Bank, the Champaign County Historical Museum.

Here's some unique suggestions to fill your time before, during or after the show.

The Art Party Studio is an upbeat creative class for everyone. Offering special classes during the Bloomington Gold Corvette Show. Details coming soon. 
Alto Vineyards Wineries
Visit with several wineries and wine shops in and around Champaign County. Alto Vineyards  invites you to enjoy a glass of their award-winning wine in their picturesque outdoor setting and wine garden just minutes from downtown Champaign and the University of Illinois campus. Or head over to Wyldewood Cellars in St. Joseph, just east of Urbana, where they offer free wine tastings of their award winning Elderberry and grape wines. This store offers over 40 different types of wine as well as jellies, syrups and fudge. Just outside of Champaign County is Sleepy Creek Vineyards, with 10 acres of vines. They offer wine tastings on their scenic vineyard as well as shopping in their gift shop.
Chanute Air Museum Museums
Champaign County has a thriving arts & culture atmosphere with eleven museums located in the county. The following are not to be missed:
Champaign County Forest Preserves Champaign County Forest Preserves
Each forest preserve has their own, distinctive features that make them all unique. Homer Lake Forest Preserve has 892 acres for fishing, boating, hiking and picnicking and the new Natural Playscape. Lake of the Woods boasts the Mayberry Botanical Gardens, a covered bridge, the Museum of the Grand Prairie, a golf course and plenty of trails for hiking. Middle Fork Forest Preserve offers a swimming beach, fishing, hiking and boat rentals in its 1600 acres. It also features a Waterfowl Management Area and campgrounds. River Bend Forest Preserve has 130 acres of clear water in two lakes and 2.5 miles of forest along the Sangamon River. Sangamon River Forest Preserve is ideal for low-impact activities such as bird watching, hiking and river fishing. It also hosts the Lincoln Ash Tree, one of the largest ash trees in the state. University of Illinois Arboretum Arboretum and Japan House
Located less than a mile from the show site, the University of Illinois Arboretum is a living laboratory, including plant collections and facilities that support the teaching, research and public service programs of several units throughout campus. The Arboretum also features the Welcome Garden, the Idea Garden and the Japanese Tea and Dry Gardens at Japan House. While the Japan House is closed during the summer, its beautiful house gardens are open until dusk to stroll through.
 
Wandell Sculpture Garden Wandell Sculpture Garden
This unique, free outdoor sculpture garden in Urbana sits among 22 acres of recreated Illinois tallgrass prairie in a 130-acre community park. While walking the path, one can encounter bikers, joggers and other sculpture lovers as the park serves both recreational and educational purposes. Works from local artists who have ties with the University of Illinois grace the garden, as well as pieces from artists from California and Amsterdam are featured.
