We are a 5-acre educational farm where U of I students can come learn about growing fresh food. We grow an array of vegetables and fruit using organic practices and are a space for all kinds of hands on learning. whether you are interested in agriculture, engineering, architecture, native plants, or art we want to be a space for your project.
We have student employees, and are hiring periodically. If you are interested in working here, message us here or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We are generally hiring to start in April and during the summer and at the beginning of fall semester.
We also have volunteers coming out and we are always needing more help. We accept volunteers during the week from 7am to 12pm and 1pm tp 4pm. If you are interested in volunteering sign up at: http://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c0d4eada62ea31-fall1.
Every Thursday from 11am- 5pm there is a Student Farm Stand in front of the Student Union (quad side). There you'll find fresh, local, and reasonably priced produce for sale. We accept cash, debit, and credit.
We also sell produce to the dining services here on campus (about 90% of what we grow) in 2015 we sold 25,000 lbs for dining to serve to the students in the dining halls!
Please email us (email@example.com) if you have any questions, want a tour, to lend a hand, or get rid of a particular garden pest!
