The Champaign County Convention and Visitors Bureau is thrilled to bring the Hot Rod Magazine Power Tour to Champaign County on Monday, June 4, 2012.  The 18th consecutive year for this “ultimate Hot Rodder vacation” will have cars cruising into Champaign County for one stop on a seven day tour with over 3,000 cars and 250 participating vendors on display at the University of Illinois’ Assembly Hall. 

The festive atmosphere of the Power Tour Cruise Stop celebrates America’s love affair with the automobile.  This free event will also feature “fun runs,” participant game zone, hot rod trivia and other activities.  The Champaign County CVB is looking forward to hosting event participants and showing them an evening to remember!

Schedule of Events

Planned Route Into Champaign County

• Hot Rods will head into Champaign County through downtown Danville on Vermilion St.
• At Vermilion County Courthouse/Old National Bank, hot rods will turnrtight onto Main St./Route 150 West and will remain on Rte-150 W toward Urbana.
• They will continue on Rte-150 W (University Ave.) until Lincoln Ave where they will turn left heading to Florida Ave.
• All Hot Rods will take Florida Ave. directly to the Assembly Hall.
