With over 30 years of individual musical experience, Riders of the Golden Maize move effortlessly from one style of music to another. The Band focuses on Roots Rock and Country but plays everything from Buck Owens to the Beatles and back! The Riders have been on the local CU music for over 10 yrs and play at the best music venues in the area. Including Huber’s West End tavern, the Rose Bowl, Clark Bar, AltoVineyards, gigs for the cities of Urbana and Champaign and Bloomington Center for the Performing Arts to name a few. The band has proven to be one of the sustaining local musical acts around. Always changing…Riders of the Golden Maize are constantly working on new material. One thing remains the same.. this band loves to play and engage audiences large and small.
