It's Back! Urbana's Market at the Square Returns May 1st

April 21, 2021

Urbana's Market at the Square returns May 1st and we couldn't be more excited. This weekly event which runs from May-October is a staple of our community. With a proud tradition locally for supporting our area farmers, Market at the Square is one of the best ways to access fresh food grown right here in the greater Champaign County area! For this year's festivities, we want to remind you of a few things worth considering as you make plans for the upcoming farmer's market season.

Kicking off on May 1st, we'll see the return of the Market at the Square. Since 1979, Urbana’s Market at the Square has been a mainstay for Urbana and the surrounding area by connecting the community with local growers and artisans. We're super excited to return to Lincoln Square and shop locally grown food and handmade goods.

Like last year, we highly recommend reviewing the COVID-19 Market Safety Plan before visiting. Urbana’s Market at the Square and The Champaign Farmers Market, along with the Champaign County Public Health District, put these guidelines together to ensure a safe market experience for all. Some highlights to absolutely remember when you visit include:

If you're curious about who's coming the week you plan on visiting, the handy digital Market Map will not only show you who is planning to sell that week but where at the market they'll be! Of course, the map is subject to cancelations and last-minute movements of stalls. That said, it's a great way to plan ahead so you can grab what you're hoping to find!
